sick little bree...or not?

Breanna never wants to "cuddle" unless she is sick. This morning she woke up at her normal 7:30am and only wanted me to hold her on my grandmas old chair. She then proceeded to fall asleep almost instantly and stayed alseep for another 40 minutes, while my butt fell asleep because I couldn't move positions on the not so comfortable chair. After deciding she wasn't about to wake up yet, and I was falling back asleep myself, I decided to gently move with her onto the couch....PERFECTO! she didn't even wake up! We layed there for another hour, until I realized it was after 9am and this was not normal for her. I then put her down on the couch by herself, not expecting her to stay there. When I came back 10 minutes later, this is what I found...

But then...to my surprise...she managed to still be the active 2-year-old we have all grown to know...hey, still in jammies, but who cares, right?

Hope you all had a great weekend!

"What the?"

So, this IS March, right? I haven't been put in a time machine and put back into December? Then what the heck is this weather doing? Are we all about ready for summer? or AT LEAST spring? I don't think that is even a question we need to be asking. Come on, do we not deserve a little sun every now and then...for longer than 10 minutes please! It has been snowing here off and on all week...not really sticking to the ground, but snow is snow. If it is snowing, you know that the temperature is at least "freezing". And in the end of March, that is not acceptable as far as I am concerned. I know a lot of you "like the snow"...or "like the cold weather"...but seriously, aren't you ready for warmer weather, at least a little bit?

Well, since we really couldn't do anything outside this weekend...I decided to be a little "Martha Stewart" and do some "crock-potting"...I love using the crock pot because then you have dinner ready for the next few days and don't have to cook.

This is what I made in the crock pot

And then I made some of these,

straight from Martha Stewart...Cherry Oatmeal Cookies!
And this is how they turned out...yummy!

Although, this is my favorite part! licking off the beaters...salmonella? where?
I hope you all had a wonderful rainy and snowy saturday!

This is Breanna at 2 months old

Hello everyone! This is my first blog...which I have been introduced to by the one and only Demeri. I have another friend over in Eastern Washington, Libby , who has been blogging on another site for over a year now. I have wanted to start my own for a while, and when I saw that Demeri had taken that leap into blogging, I decided I needed to do it too! I love to share pictures of my family, especially daily pictures of my sweet 2-year-old daughter Breanna.

So, lets get started! For those of you who don't know me or my family, or just have lost touch with me in the 12 (almost) years since we graduated high school (WOW)...let me fill you in a little...

I am a Medical Assistant for a wonderful Internal Medicine physician on the west side of Olympia, where I have been for the past 7 years. I got married to my husband almost 3 years ago...he also graduated from Tumwater, but was in class of '93. We have a beautiful 2-year-old daughter named Breanna Renee. She is definitely the light of our lives! I never knew how much you could love someone until I gave birth...my mom was always right when she used to say that to me when I was younger..."you'll never know until you have your own children." We have lived in Rochester for the past 3 years.

So, in a nutshell, that pretty much wraps up my life. Not too exciting, but exciting enough for me. So...from reading my friends' blogs, I guess the thing to do is basically talk about fun, exciting, or not so exciting things that happedned during the day. Or just share any funny moments that you happened to catch with your camera...Libby is great at that! So, to those of you who choose to read my blog regularly, I will be filling you in on our daily lives, if you are at all interested...this blog, for me, is to also share our daily lives with our friends and family in California who we do not get to see very often. Here you go....

a few pictures from tonight...

and...this is our sweet daughter tonight...first time to ever put FOOD on her head!

and MORE noodles!

which led us to this...a bath she thought she got out of having for the night!

thanks for reading my first blog...here's to many more!
