Father's Day

<"The greatest gift I ever received was from God, and I call him Dad!"

My two favorite dads!

My Dad was here from Tahoe this weekend. The four of us had a great time together!

We went out to eat...

"Papa-D" read books to Breanna...

We went to Super Saturday at Evergreen State College. We are always up for a good festival and people watching...

oh, and chip eating, as you can see!

AND, some MORE chips!

We went to the Farmer's Market...

And we cooked some super good shish-ka-bobs!

And, before "Papa-D" left this morning, we took some self-portraits.

Thanks Dad...I had a great time...hope your Father's Day with us was great! Miss you already!

GARAGE SALE GURU

I love garage sales, don't you? The part I don't love about them is having to put away things you didn't end up selling. Instead, I am taking most of it to the Good Will. So, ya, we had a garage sale this weekend. The weather was great for it too!

A few things I learned about having a garage sale:
1. Make sure you don't have all "girly" items...otherwise, you'll be called a "girl garage sale". (This advice came from a garage saler that stopped by)

2. Good idea to price things a little higher than you really want for it. Professional "garage salers" are quite the negotiators!

3. Don't let you neighbors next door try to sell their broken down cars to YOUR CUSTOMERS! ya, seriously, this happened! She came over and tried to get me to sell her THREE broken down cars to anyone that I could...she wanted $300 for each one! (no one bought any of them)

and 4. You have a GOOD garage sale if someone comes back FOUR, I repeat, FOUR times! Yes, my Mexican neighbor across the street came back 4 times in 2 days! He bought: 2 car seats, a port-a-crib, a TON of baby clothes, cable cords, a vaccuum, a printer, kitchen items...I seriously thought he wouldn't stop! He was my best customer! I think he spent a total of $130! SWEET! : )

Here are a few pics from the sale:

TIME TO GET RID OF "SOME" OF BREE'S CLOTHES

A VIEW OF THE SALE

ALL THE CLOTHES PILED IN A HEAP

MY "PIPPI LONGSTOCKING" (my mom did her hair)

BREE COUNTING THE CHANGE CUP FOR ME
(my mom was teaching her what a quarter, dime, nickle, and penny were...there were a few Chuck E. Cheese tokens in there which Bree called "Chuck-a-neese")

ONE OF THE MOST PRECIOUS THINGS I WILL EVER HAVE...BREANNA'S STOCKING CAP FROM THE HOSPITAL WHEN SHE WAS BORN...I FOUND IT IN ONE OF HER BINS OF CLOTHES. THIS IS ONE THING THAT WILL NEVER EVER EVER BE SOLD IN A GARAGE SALE! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT FITS ON MY FIST!

So, that about wraps up the sale! Oh, one more fun pic for you all...I just captured this pic a few minutes ago! ENJOY!
